A Fun-Filled Fourth!

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! This summer has been flying by so fast, and we’ve really been trying to make the most of it, so this year we decided to try something a little different for the Fourth.

Rock climbing! Michael’s brother introduced us to this exhilarating sport a few years ago (before Hadley was born) and we’ve been getting back into it recently.

Rock climbing is awesome for countless reasons; one of which is being an amazing workout. And another is the beautiful places you discover while doing it!

Getting out in nature is so calming and refreshing. It’s nice to get out every once in a while and just be outside. I’m really looking forward to continuing our climbing journey and seeing where it takes us!

And then it was on to the firework show at the park!

Here’s River channeling her inner Elton John… hehe!

The kids did pretty well with waiting -somewhat- patiently for the show to start.

This was Riv’s second Fourth, but really her first for actually watching and paying attention to the fireworks! She was pretty interested, but mostly just wanted to eat and explore.

Daddy snuggles!

These girls absolutely adore their dad. And I don’t blame them!

Firework time!

This year’s show was remarked upon as being much better than last year’s by pretty much everyone, myself included! There was a lot more variety and the finale was definitely one to remember.

All in all, it was an awesome weekend filled with family, fun, and lots of amazing memories being made. None of us wanted it to end.
