Vegan & Cruelty-Free Shampoo
Review: “I am in LOVE with this shampoo. It’s cruelty free, sulfate free, and smells amazing. I would say if your hair tends to be on the greasier side, this might not be the right choice for you as it isn’t really clarifying. However, if you have dry hair like me, it doesn’t take any moisture from your hair and will make it feel soft and clean without stripping away any of the good stuff. This shampoo also works double time if your hair is curly.” – Laura B.
Review: “I have been using Natures Gate brand for almost a year. I switched to natural based products and at first was scared of the new prices. This brand is very affordable and works well. I have really sensitive skin/scalp and this did not cause any irritation. For those that like the smell of Tea Tree this is awesome, it isn’t too strong or overpowering. Really helped my itchy scalp!” – hmart7411
Review: “I really love this shampoo….it’s the first natural shampoo I’ve tried and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It doesn’t lather the way normal shampoo does, but it still gets my hair super clean. It never feels greasy afterwards. My hair is sooo soft after I wish it, and it stays that way as I wash my hair every other day. Also, it smells fantastic.” – Ashley
Review: “I just discovered this shampoo a few weeks ago and I love it so far. My hair is clean, manageable and shiny without the feeling of heaviness or lankness. I admit that I have really good hair so I may not be the best judge as it’s rare for me to find a product that isn’t ok for my hair. I don’t yet dye my hair so I can’t review that aspect. The shampoo has a delicate citrusy scent which I find really soothing, it is relatively inexpensive compared to other products of this type and comes in 16oz rather than 8oz. A little bit lathers well without the dreaded sulfates, although it does contain a cousin: sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate. As with everything, what works for one individual may not work for another. This works for me.” –MamasLlama
Review: “So far I used this shampoo only once but I am really pleasently surprised. You don’t need much of it and it foams really well. It has a really nice scent that isn’t powerful. My hair actually felt great after I washed it and dried it. I have really fine hair and it isn’t easy to find a product that keeps it soft and untangled after the wash without a conditioner. I would highly recommend it to everyone!” – Iza
Review: “I love this shampoo. I use the 50-50 shampoo first to really clean my hair then use this moisturizing shampoo and follow up with one of the Giovanni conditioners. You only need a dime-sized amount to get a lot of lather. Since adding this shampoo to my hair-cleaning regimen, my hair feels healthier.” – Monique
Review: “My daughter absolutely loves this product! She is always talking about how smooth and shiny her hair is now that she’s been using Art Naturals. She uses both the shampoo and conditioner everytime she showers. A little goes a long way with this too! Great quality for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this to others.” – A. Condo
Review: “My hair was super oily before buying this product. There aren’t too many shampoos out there for people with oily hair. I usually wash my hair every 3 days with dry shampoo on the second and third day. Now I am able to go two whole days without dry shampoo. My hair doesn’t feel dry after using and it feels very clean. All the junk from products and dry shampoo is wash out. I recommend using it near your roots only.” – Alan X.
Review: “The smell is excellent! I wash my hair every other day and this is so gentle on my hair. I use the matching conditioner also. Lathers nice, wash well and leaves hair clean but not stripped and no weird residue on the hair. The bottle is a good size if you are not washing daily ( which is bad for hair). I have long hair that reaches my mid back and it really does not take much shampoo, although the conditioner requires more than others I have used. Great ingredients versus other brands. Volume? Well it does rinse well and if you dry hair a specific way using the correct brushes than yes, volume. If letting hair air dry, not so much volume as it just rinses and cleans well and doesn’t weigh hair down.” – heather coleman
10. Hugo Naturals
Review: “This shampoo rocks! A truly all natural ingredients list that leaves my greasy hair feeling clean, light, and product free. I tried everything before this – “natural” shampoos that really weren’t, the baking soda/no poo method, none of it worked for me! This shampoo is wonderful. It won’t truly suds up the way you might be used to with commercial shampoos, but that’s due to its wonderful ingredients list and if your hair is wet enough you can get a good lather going anyway. When I first bought this I was skeptical of the small bottle size, but I can happily use a dime to quarter size amount for a head of thin, shoulder length hair. It should last me anywhere from 2 – 3 months! Way longer than anything I’ve bought at the store.” – Erika
11. Paul Mitchell
Review: “At one point I bought every shampoo on the market till I came across Paul Mitchell and that was it .. search over no need to look further. My hair is lively every single time, other products my hair would come out flat after I was about half way through the bottle. This shampoo washes out clean and complete not leaving anything noticeable behind. The only thing is, that I don’t know if I like this original better than the ‘original one’ (which smells better than this). The smell doesn’t stay either way (which is a good thing in my opinion), so not sure that matters too much. Good luck out there.” – Daxx
Review: “YES! YES! YES! have THE most difficult hair ever and this is amazing!! I have used all of the Say yes hair products and this (blueberry) and carrots are my favorite. I do prefer the carrot body wash over any other but this shampoo and conditioner are by far, my favorite! Works on all types of hair. Well, let me rephrase that. I have fine hair but I have a lot of it and it usually looks greasy no matter what I use, but not with this. My daughter had thick hair and my son has frizzy, thick, short hair. Hard to explain but nonetheless, it leaves all of our hair feeling smooth! It smells so good too!” – kelly
Review: “I suffer from fairly strong dandruff (enough to make it rain if I shake my head) and it can get fairly embarrassing. I tried countless of dandruff shampoos, some that worked, some that didn’t, others that worked for a while and then lost their effectiveness – this is the shampoo I keep coming back to. It tempers my dandruff as well as my itchy scalp. I’ve been using it consistently for almost two years and its effectiveness has not slowed down.
Would definitely recommend giving it a shot!” – Paolo B Martinez
Review: “I love this product, an alternate it with the pure volume shampoo. I have used it for probably three or four years now. It has no chemicals in it that will hurt color treated hair, and the one without conditioner is pure enough to wash some dolls hair, if you happened to have a doll collector in your household, and that is usually not recommended but worked nicely on ours.” – denise durak
Review: “I have been looking for a clean shampoo with less chemicals. Very happy finding this shampoo – it does add volume. It leave hair just right – not limp or too dry. Been using it since a few days only, but loving it so far. Now planning to get the conditioner too.” – Misha24
