I was personally sent MONAT products to try and review. All opinions are my own.
When it comes to my kids’ hair care routine, they’d rather just… not. Taking care of their hair is like a constant chore, especially since they both love getting dirty! That’s why I’m always eager to try new products that will make it that much easier for all of us to get the job done.
And that’s exactly what MONAT Junior does! Its gentle formula is uniquely designed for fine and delicate hair and is completely free of parabens, sulfates, and harmful chemicals & fragrances. And of course, they’re 100% vegan and cruelty-free!
MONAT stands for “modern nature” and focuses on using modern scientific technology to provide a unique and healthy hair and skin care experience. You can find out more about what they do here.
The MONAT Junior line consists of three products: shampoo, conditioner, and detangler, and so far it has proved itself to be as gentle as it claims. I was able to massage the product into the girls’ hair and even work out a few tangles (and stray pieces of food in Riv’s case) without any fuss!
One great thing about this line is that a little bit goes a long way. I only had to use about a quarter-sized amount of shampoo and a little less for conditioner. The smell is also very mild and pleasant. It almost had a hint of apple! 🙂
After their bath, one thing I immediately noticed was how soft their hair was. Now, baby hair is naturally soft as it is, but with the previous products I had been using before, I found that it often left their hair feeling rough and straw-like.
And then there’s the gentle detangler! This stuff is AMAZING. As I mentioned before, the girls love to get dirty (food, mud, paint, you name it), so detangler is an absolute must in their hair care routine. The product I was using before got the job done for the most part, but it was from a brand that tests on animals and it also seemed a bit harsh for Had’s sensitive hair and skin.
This detangler is a breeze. I only need a couple sprays per section of hair, and the product does basically all the work for me. And for a girl who used to say “ow!” after every single brush, it was nice to be able to get through an entire comb section without a single objection. Score!
