I’m really in the Halloween spirit lately, and Had informed me that we needed some more decorations. And since I’m more of the “see what I have laying around” type, we decided to make some ghost garlands.
This craft is cheap, super simple to make (as always), and something the kiddos can help make, too!
Recycled Ghost Garland
There’s only a few materials needed:
- Some sort of fabric (we used some old reusable napkins)
- Paper for the heads (we used old coupons)
- Jute cord (or whatever you have lying around)
- Hot glue gun
- Permanent marker
Of course, I had some old coupons stuffed away, so Had helped me crinkle them up into little balls. We put them into the center of the napkins and tied them off to form little “heads” for the ghosts.
Then we added the faces!
After that, we turned them over and hot glued them to a 6′ piece of jute, leaving about 3″ in between each ghost and about 6″ on the ends to hang it up.
Be sure to put a second dot of glue over the two pieces to really secure it in place!
And voila, you have a fun little garland to spook up your porch!
Or you can put it inside! Had made her own garland that she hung in the playroom doorway. 🙂
Until the next project!
