About Me

My name is Emma, a 23 year old wife and momma, and I run this blog straight out of the Seattle area. I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest pretty much my entire life, yet it still manages to amaze me with its unrelenting beauty and seemingly endless list of new and exciting places to discover.

To be completely honest, I’ve always been kind of an introvert. Writing has been a way for me to express myself since opening up to others has never been especially easy for me. I’ve always enjoyed sitting inside and playing video games (we get a ton of rain here, you know), but I’m always up for a good hike or a trip to the mountains for some snowboarding.

(Also, I change my hairstyle a lot. Just something to keep an eye out for. ;))

Then she met him

In 2010, I met my best friend and other half, Michael.

Seriously don’t know what I’d do without this guy! In the six years we’ve been together, he has taught me so much about sitting back and enjoying life and has really brought me out of my shell (I’ve struggled with social anxiety pretty much my entire life).

He encourages me to pursue my dreams and never give up on them (like this blog).  Plus, he makes me laugh. Huge plus!

And then there were three

In December of 2013, we welcomed our beautiful daughter Hadley Rae into the world.

Hadley About

Now, she has grown into a sassy little toddler that never ceases to both amaze me with how brilliant she is and crack me up with her shenanigans. Although she does drive me crazy sometimes, she will always be my baby girl; my first experience in motherhood.

Plus one more!

In June of this year, we were blessed with yet another beautiful little girl, our River Blue.

River About

Riv is already blossoming into an extremely sweet, talkie, and all around happy little girl. I don’t think I even have to say that we all just love her to death. She’s a pro at letting us know what she wants and already has mommy and daddy wrapped around her tiny, chubby finger.

Being a mom is truly a remarkable experience; I mean, who knew you could learn so many things from someone so small? From the moment these two little munchkins were born and every day since, they’ve been introducing me to so many new experiences and I can’t imagine what my life would be like without them. (There was a time before motherhood?!)

The whole family!

While it was once the strangest feeling in the world having two children, it now would be weird not having them both in my life. I feel complete knowing that I have a husband who loves me and two beautiful little girls that we get to raise together in this wild, wild world.

And now, we embark on this new journey together; a journey to a healthy, balanced lifestyle as we remain kind to animals and kind to the Earth. I’m a creator, adventurer, money-saver, do-it-yourself-er, and above all, mother.

This is my life!

And, as always, GO HAWKS!

    1. Hi Annie! Thanks so much 🙂 I’m sorry to hear about your social anxiety- it can be tough sometimes… But I’m glad to hear you’re doing so well with your littles at home! I would LOVE to homeschool my girls as well. And I’m not sure if it’s been super cold for you guys as well lately, but if so, stay warm!! 🙂
