This weekend was absolutely jam-packed with all sorts of fun! My dad was in town visiting from Missouri, so we were sure to make the most of it- especially since the weather was B-E-A-utiful! For this reason, we decided to take a trip up north to see one of Western Washington’s most beautiful spring attractions: The Tulip Festival!
Every year from April 1-30, people gather from far and wide to witness the vast blooming of the magnificent tulips. For those of you who have never been, the best way for me to describe it is just miles and miles and miles of tulips. I mean, we’re talking literally millions! There are several different fields to visit, with each one sporting their own variety of gorgeous colors to take in…
From red…
to yellow…
to purple!
Plus a bunch of other colors that you have to see for yourself. You can view a map of all the active blooms here! This was Hadley’s first time ever seeing the tulips, too, making it even more special.
And of course Brodie made an appearance, marking his very first time seeing them as well! 🙂 Watching these kids run through those flowers was absolutely heartwarming. Just seeing their little faces light up as we were first walking up to them was almost too much cuteness to handle.
All in all, the Tulip Festival is a gorgeous, amazingly peaceful experience for the whole family. Now that we’ve gone as altogether (and had a blast), we’re going to try and make it a yearly tradition from now on. You can find out more about this event at http://www.tulipfestival.org/site!
Until the next adventure!
