I guess it’s official; River has been crowned the cutest sister in the world! Not sure how Hadley feels about this, but she’s definitely an extremely close 2nd. (Yeah right, like I’d ever be able to choose between my girls. 😉 ) But anyway, life has been super hectic lately! I mean, adjusting to life with two littles is a lot more challenging than I expected it to be!
Although everyone in the house has obviously been affected by this transition, I think the one who’s been taking it the hardest is Hadley. I can only imagine how she must be feeling with not being the only child anymore. There has been some acting out I’ll admit, but Michael and I have been very patient with her and overall she’s been an amazing big sister so far!
Her new fav activity? Feeding her sissy of course! Ugh, she just melts my heart. ♥
One huuuuuuge part of my life right now is getting myself active again. I was able to find this awesome double jogging stroller on Craigslist for only 60 bucks and it’s really helped me to get out and walking again. I’ve even been jogging a bit as well!
Another great way I’ve been staying active is with the new hit sensation (that I’m sure you’ve heard so much about already), Pokemon Go! Now, I know this type of thing would normally appeal to kids, but the majority of the people I’ve seen playing it, myself included, are in their early to mid 20’s!
I know it seems kinda nerdy, but this game gives me serious nostalgia and just really brings me back to the good ol’ days. Plus, like I mentioned before, it keeps me active and gets me outside on a daily basis!
Check out these super rare ones I caught in my house! 😉
Now, ignore my jelly belly (I just had a baby 8 weeks ago for Pete’s sake!), but I recently tried out POUND, a hip new workout program with none other than my BFF Clarice, and it was super fun! Even Hadley got her workout in, as you can see. 😉
Founded by a pair of super cool gal drummers, this program focuses on burning fat and toning various muscle groups through a series of motions performed using weighted drumsticks. Tons of fun, and definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a new workout routine to keep you motivated.
I also recently had my first girls night in who knows how long! After a couple drinks and a quick bite, we ended up taking a nice stroll through one of our favorite parks and caught some Pokemon. 😉 (I may be
slightly obsessed, okay?!)
On one of our more recent walks, my sister and I came across this little pond by her place that was filled with tadpoles! And I’m not talkin’ those little inch-long guys, either. I mean huge, fist-sized monster ones! This may not seem very cool to some, but I thought it was awesome!
My squad, on the ferry. We took a trip over to Poulsbo to see one of the most amazing women in the world, my mom (aka “G”).
Hadley got to help whip up some homemade peach ice cream! I’m so glad that the girls get to see their grandma so often and have her in their lives. I was really close with my grandma growing up and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. 🙂
Plus we all know grandmas are well-known for their habit of loading you up with food every time they see you, and my mom is no exception! She’s constantly cooking or baking something yummy. Like this last time we were over, she made pulled pork tacos with homemade salsa. Mmm-mmm!
And well, through all the chaos and the hustle and bustle that our has become our daily life, there’s one thing we all can’t seem to get enough of…
