It’s Mother’s Day weekend in Seattle and the weather is supposed to be just gorgeous! Get out of the house with the fam and check out some of these awesome events happening in and around the Seattle area, all featuring discounts, freebies, and more for all the mommas out there!
Mom & Me – Woodland Park Zoo
Head to Woodland Park Zoo this weekend as they host their 26th annual Mom & Me at the Zoo event! Every year, all moms can score half-price admission the day before Mother’s Day and enjoy a fun-filled day with the family! Event includes live performances in the North Meadow, a bouncy house for the kiddos, and an arts & crafts booth. Discount applies to ticket sales made at zoo gates only and can’t be redeemed online. Saturday, May 7 from 9:30 am – 3:00 pm. Adults: $19.95 (moms half-price). Children: $12.25 (ages 0-2 always free).
Flower Festival – Pike Place Market
Visit one of Seattle’s most notable attractions this Mother’s Day where you can browse over 40 different tents featuring tons and tons of flowers! Pick up a bouquet, or two, or ten! The Pike Place Market Foundation will also have a tent offering information on the new MarketFront. Ride the Train – Northwest Railway Museum
Up to try something a little different? Hitch a train ride that the whole family will enjoy with the Northwest Railway Museum! Departing from both Snoqualmie and North Bend stations, each ride is approximately 70 minutes long and full of scenery! And best of all, moms ride FREE with a paying child of any age. Definitely an experience worth looking into! Saturday, May 7 – Sunday, May 8 from 11:00 am – 4:45 pm. Adults: $22.00 (moms are free with a paying child of any age). Seniors (62+): $20.00. Children: $15.00 (0-2 free).
Mother’s Day Celebration – Country Village
Country Village, located in Bothell, is a neat little community of locally-owned shops that offers a little something for everyone. This Mother’s Day, moms will be able to enter to win a $150 Country Village shopping spree! Visit different shops to receive additional entries and increase your chances of winning! Kids can also create a free charm bracelet for Mom at Garden of Beadin’. Participating shops will offer charms to add to your bracelet, making for a sweet, heartfelt gift! Free Admission – Imagine Children’s Museum
Make a trip to the Imagine Children’s Museum in Everett this Sunday, when moms and grandmothers will get in for FREE! The museum consists of various different exhibits for kids of all ages, including Imagine WaterWorks, Imagine-Air + Ball Tower, and the legendary Tall Timbers Rooftop Adventure! If you’re looking to make a ton of awesome memories in a super fun and exciting atmosphere, this is the place for you! Sunday, May 8 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Adults and children: $10.00 (moms and grandmothers are free, children 0-12 months always free).
Half-Price Moms’ Day – Point Defiance Zoo
Another zoo event, people! On Saturday, May 7, all moms will receive half-price admission at Point Defiance Zoo! You’ll have the opportunity to feed colorful birds in the Budgie Buddies exhibit, touch stingrays, sea stars, and other underwater animals, and meet the new clouded leopard cubs! Saturday, May 7 from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm. Adults (ages 13-64): $17.95. Seniors (age 65+): $16.95. Children: (ages 5-12): $13.95. Toddlers (ages 3 & 4): $9.95. Children 2 and under: Free.
Mother’s Day Social – Bellevue Botanical Garden
Take a stroll through 53-acres of gardens, woodlands, and wetlands at the Bellevue Botanical Garden this Mother’s Day. Learn all about growing a healthy garden, take a guided tour, and enjoy music and light refreshments. Definitely something a little more relaxed and laid back; perfect for families with older children. Sunday, May 8 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Entry is free for all ages.
Washington State Park Free Day
If you’re feelin’ a little outdoors-ie, get out and enjoy all the natural beauty this state has to offer! This Sunday, May 8, you will be able to access all state parks without a Discovery Pass.
