I blinked. And I wish I hadn’t, because now my baby is two months old already! As far as newborns go, this has to be my favorite age. This is when they start to open up and explore the world. The first month is more of what I like to call the potato stage because they sleep like 23 hours a day.
This girl is so sweet. She absolutely loves to cuddle and will nestle her face into my shoulder after she’s done eating. It’s seriously the cutest thing ever. Another reason why I love this age so much is because this is when babies begin to find their voice.
This past week has been filled with little coos; Riv loves telling us all about “goo”. She gets so excited when we smile and talk to her. The person she loves the most has to be Hadley. She’ll run up to her while she’s sitting in her little chair and say “Hi River!” and immediately, Riv’s face will light up and she’ll start talking. Just love me a chatty baby! 🙂
Talking to the camera! It’s so weird looking back at her 1 month photos and seeing how much she’s grown in just a few weeks. It brings me both joy and sadness to acknowledge the fact that my little baby’s getting bigger and there’s nothing I can do about it.
What I can do, though, is just cherish the time that I have with her and soak in all the precious moments. Every. single. one.
Pound it! This girl also just recently started sleeping through the night. I think that deserves a little fist bump. 😉 If you have kids, then you know that this can take months (or sometimes even years) to do. So the fact that my two month old has started to already is awesome.
Now, I can’t be sure that this will last, buuuut at this point I’ll take any extra sleep that I can get!
Can we just take a second to admire her adorable little deer shoes?! They’re from the new Cat & Jack clothing line at Target and oh my gosh, everything is so stinkin’ cute!
This chunk is also now in 3-6 month clothing. I figured it was time to move up a size when I found myself stretching her newborn onesies over her big ol’ tummy and barely being able to snap them shut. Oh, my sweet River Blue, you’re growing up so fast!
Words cannot describe how much I love this little girl. She has so much personality for such a little person and I look forward to seeing her grow into the person she’s going to become.
