I know it’s already the 14th, but because I was super busy last week and then went out of town all weekend, I’ve been sort of playing catch-up with all my Blog Challenge posts! Hopefully by the tomorrow, I’ll be all caught up. 🙂

Day 12: Your Favorite Childhood Book

Now that I’m a mother, I know all too well the “read it again!” struggle. Hadley has become extremely particular in what books she likes reading and looking at, so when we reach the last page in one of her favorites, she will say “alllllllll done” and then proceed to flip to the first page again to start over again. This will go on indefinitely, usually until something else catches her attention (food for example). After conversing with my mom about this topic, I found out that I did indeed have my favorites as well, two of which I remember very clearly

The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig

It’s exactly what it sounds like; just a reversed version of the original story. I’m not sure why I just loved this book so much, but it must have been what inspired me to create my own mini series of “The Three Little Mice and the Big Bad Cat” (originally from a third grade project). I do remember reading the heck out of this book with my mom, though, and I actually still have it in a keepsake box in my basement. 🙂

Go Dog. Go!

This is the one that instantly came to mind when I first saw today’s prompt. It’s a great “learning to read” book as the wording is very short and easy to follow. If you haven’t read it already, it’s basically just a book full of dogs; dogs of all shapes, sizes, and colors! And they’re all going! Going where, you ask?

Sorry to spoil the ending. 😉 But isn’t that just the cutest thing ever? Ever since Hadley was born, I’ve been reading this to her and now that she’s a little older, she’s starting to show more and more interest! She loves to point and say “puppy! puppy!” 🙂 What books do you remember from your childhood?
